Characteristics: Acacia verticillata is a small prickly shrub which grows to about 5M in height. It is a generally rounded shrub with dark green, spine-like leaves up to 2 cm long, in whorls around the stem. It's pale yellow flowers form in short spikes and seed pods are flat and often straight, growing to be 2-7cm long.
Perferred Conditions:
Frost hardy (will tolerate frosts to -7 C ), preferring well drained soil. May be pruned for compact growth if necessary and a good hedge plant. Small birds love this plant.

Via scarified seed or boiling water treatment.
